Mcdonalds.it is a commercial and promotional web site which is characterized by a great predominance of primary colors, the yellow and the red of the brand, and visuals celebrating happiness and cheerfulness and making graphics lively, winning and young but, in some sections, quite heavy.

The web site is intended for a very young audience, the major consumer of Mc.Donald's product and for their parents as well; it is also intended for young people who are looking for a job and would like to find it by Mcdonalds'; for the ones who want to start a franchising activity with this brand and for the ones who want to know something more about the history of the Company and its collateral activities.

The choice of such an heterogeneous audience might confuse the web surfer. Besides the aspect that is properly commercial, mcdonalds.it accomplishes an informational function about the quality of the products.

This web site is constructed using a quite simple and apparently coherent structure but it is spoiled by the choice of the frames and by a claustrophobic screen. The scrolling of the sectional pages, that are sometimes too long compared with the usable screen, make the reading uncomfortable and the presence of a patterned background in the textual area makes the visualization difficult.
