In the fascinating setting of the University of Milan, built in the building of the ancient "Spedale dei Poveri", designed by Filarete, the second European Symposium, entitled "European Citizenship: from here to ... reality, tools, perspectives", organized by CESES, in collaboration with ATEE, took place on 22 June 2006. The Symposium discussed the need to stimulate in the inhabitants and among the peoples of Europe the awareness of being European citizens in all respects. All of us, who live in this great and lively reality, must learn to become and feel ourselves true citizens of Europe, our multifaceted, rich and historic common home.
