On 7, 8 and 9 May 2009 in Milan, in the suggestive setting of the Palazzo delle Stelline, the 2nd European conference of EAC schools, European Active Citizenship, took place. On this occasion, which has now become an annual event, the contents and actions aimed at promoting European citizenship in an innovative way were discussed, the reports and group works of the participants were presented and on the morning of 9 May 40 schools including delegations from 23 European institutes participated in the Europe Day 2009 at the prestigious Teatro Dal Verme. The EAC SCHOOLS NETWORK project, under the patronage of the European Commission, intends to capitalize and enhance the results of experiences now underway in schools, and intends to be a concrete tool for students, teachers and local authorities who want to make their young people really live in an active European citizenship.
