Carlo Borromeo, lo Splendore dell'Umiltà

From November 3 to 9, 2010, Ars Europa—supported by the Municipality of Arona’s Cultural Department and the European Parliament Office in Milan—organized a videoprojection in Arona and Milan, dedicated to the life and works of Saint Charles Borromeo.

This cultural-artistic project was unveiled on the 400th anniversary of his canonization, aiming to introduce younger generations to the great saint born in Arona, who became the Archbishop of Milan.

The event featured a 20-minute docu-animation with 3D inserts, merging traditional camera footage with realistic 3D reconstructions. The reconstructed protagonist speaks in first person, creating a powerful emotional impact on the young audience.

The goal: to present this significant figure to the general public—especially youth—using state-of-the-art visual storytelling techniques.
